EOTC Interviews Stelo! Stelo is a young Artist of the Miami Area.

EOTC: Whats good Stelo! Tell the people who you are what you do.

Stelo: What’s going on people, Im Stelo, Im 17 yrs old, Im an Artist, Painting, Drawing, Poet, almost the whole 9 lol

EOTC: Haha thats wassup. Where you from?

Stelo: Miami, Fl. Born and raised.

EOTC: When did you start on your artistic path? You know, when did you find your passion for art.

Stelo: Well I was always drawing since I was young, My father did it, so I guess I got it from him, But I really got on the grind in high school, got inspired by a lot of different people and whatnot.

EOTC:What does art mean to you? what do you think art can do, or has done for people

Stelo: Well Art to me is just inner emotions and feelings coming out, some people take it as competition, and some people take it as some sort of relief, or like relieving hobbie. I feel Art could open alot of doors, and its done alot for different people, if you look now, Art is playing big roles everywhere, different states and countries, Art is basically life in my opinion.

EOTC: What type of style would you label you art as? if there is a certain style you go by.

Stelo: Honestly, I been like trying to learn or just do different styles, but I would have to say, Abstract would have to be my style, I mostly just create what I think, I try not to bite, I don’t try and look and copy, I mean if there is something I see and its like rare and grime looking, I would be like dang I wish I had that style, but if you look, no one has like the same style, no one cant draw or sketch exactly how the other person did, so I just say abstract, but I am familiar with others, But I try and keep it natural if you know what I mean… But I do get inspired by alot of different artist that keeps different ideas flowing..

EOTC: Ok thats wassup. What are your favorite tools to use use when you creating a masterpiece?

Stelo: Ink pens!Preferably black ink pens, you know those jelly ones lol

But I gotta start back using those brushes you know..

EOTC: Word. What would you say to other teens your age that want to start doing Art(Painting, Drawing, ect)?

Stelo: Art is never bad, its just different. Don’t get discourage, take criticism like a soldier, and you’ll be fine.

EOTC: Good Answer! How do you take Destructive Criticism?

Stelo: I say, oh, (shrugs), I like it. Nah but.

If there doing it to help you, just take it into consideration, be thankful they told you, and just keep doing your thing… But if they do it to be an asshole, just be one back lol

EOTC: Right Right.lol It just makes you stronger.

Stelo: Yes sir.

EOTC: Who are some of your favorite artists?

Stelo: TEEBS(Brainfeeder), Brett Manning, Ben Horton (RVCA), Ben Tour, Ed Templeton just to name a few….

EOTC: If you could chill with any artist, to see what a day in the life of theres is like who would it be?

Stelo: TEEBS all the way.

Thats the newest artist I’ve been following lol That guy is beast lol

EOTC: Teebs is ill. Skating, Making music, and Art.

Stelo: Just straight Grime.

EOTC: Word. How often do you drawn in a sketchbook? Every artist has a sketchbook.lol

Stelo: Lol, well lately its been straight like poster paper, construction papers, and regular computer papers, but If Im in class I mostly use the sketch book, but since we’ve been on break it has not been opened, I might need a new one soon anyway lol

EOTC: O thats right your still in high school. Any art colleges you looking to apply to after you graduate?

Stelo: Yeah man, Right now Im looking at Ringling college of art and design, which is in Sarasota fl. Thats probably for just 2 years, then I want to transfer to out of state. Its out of NY or Cali.

EOTC: What motivates you to do what you do?

Stelo: Seeing other people thats just like me but the only thing different is that they have their own galleries, or there traveling because of their art or there just getting paid .. I get motivated by just seeing them succeed, which makes me more determined to get where they are, or maybe even further.

EOTC: Is there any place that you would like to travel to and have a show in a gallery?

Stelo: Yeah, Honestly I really would have a exhibition anywhere lol, But If I was already like semi known, I would like to have most of my stuff in New York, Or in some other countries, Like Germany, It really doesn’t matter though, I would  take any place and just grow from there.

EOTC: Is there anything you would like to say to the followers and watchers of EOTC? The floor is yours..

Stelo: Clearing Throat..
